About Wautoma, WI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Wautoma, Wisconsin serves as the county seat of Waushara County. This small city is home to only about 2,200 residents, and it refers to itself as the Christmas tree capital of the world. This community is served by the Wautoma Area School District, and Wautoma High School has earned five state championships in three sports – boys’ track and field, football, and boys’ basketball. In fact, former NFL wide receiver Jared Abbrederis is an alumna of Wautoma High School and recently returned to the community after his retirement from the sport.
Wautoma is primarily a residential community, but there are still some businesses here that support the locals. Outdoor lovers might like to visit Bird Creek Park or to take their four-legged friend to the Wautoma Dog Park, while hunters may wish to book a weekend at the Edenwood Ranch and Preserve. There are also many popular restaurants in the city, including The Silvercryst, Christiano’s, and Moose Inn.
Winters in Wautoma are freezing. Average daily highs in January only reach about 26 degrees Fahrenheit, while average lows fall to about 11 degrees Fahrenheit. Thermostat readings of single digits or even negative numbers are also common, so it is crucial that Wautoma residents have the right climate controls at home to stay safe. A gas or electric furnace is a necessity, keeping interior temperatures comfortable while also preventing pipes from freezing.
Summer weather in the region tends to be hot and humid, which is typical of a humid continental climate zone. July is the hottest month of the year, and average daily highs reach about 82 degrees Fahrenheit. A central air conditioner is a wise investment to stay cool until temperatures fall in late September. By October, average high temperatures are in the upper-50s, so as residents prepare to switch off their A/C, furnace system maintenance with a qualified HVAC technician may be beneficial.
