About Wild Rose, WI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The Village of Wild Rose is a quaint community found in Waushara County. This quiet village is only home to about 710 residents. The history of Wild Rose dates back to the 1850s, and still standing are over 30 buildings constructed in the late 1800s. Historic architectural styles represented in the village include Colonial Revival, Queen Anne, gabled Ell, and many others. The history of Wild Rose is also heard daily with the continued blowing of a noon whistle.
Many of the activities available in Wild Rose focus on the community’s natural resources, so there are plenty of things to do here. The most notable is the scenic bike trail leading through the village. Hiking is popular, and many visitors enjoy checking out the natural artesian spring located at Pearl and George Dopp Memorial Park.
In addition to outdoor activities, there are other things to see in Wild Rose. The annual Classic Car Show attracts visitors from throughout the state, and there are some great restaurants in the area. Visitors may like to grab a sandwich and a glass of wine at Pumphouse on the Mill or a home-cooked meal at Red Fox of Wild Rose.
Living in Wild Rose requires preparation for some extreme weather conditions. This is especially true during the winter months, which bring snowfall and freezing temperatures. During the months of December, January, and February, average daily high temperatures are below freezing, and overnight lows fall even lower. The right gas or electric furnace – specifically one that is appropriately sized and offers energy efficient heating – is a necessity. Not only will these systems protect Wild Rose residents from the outside elements, but they’ll also protect pipes, plumbing, and other expensive property structures from freeze-related damage.
The area will begin to thaw out in April, at which time temperatures rise and may bring along spring storms. This warming trend will lead to a hot and humid summer, and average daily highs reach about 82 degrees in July. More Wild Rose residents are investing in central air conditioning systems to stay cool, as the right unit will also remove moisture while improving air quality.
